Project overview

Customer: National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration (CNAIR), Romania

Scope: Design, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of a comprehensive ITS infrastructure for the A7 Motorway.

Goal: Implement an integrated traffic management and control system to enhance safety, efficiency and sustainability along one of Romania’s strategic motorway sections, improving traffic flow and incident response on the Buzău–Focșani corridor, a key route for regional and freight transport.

IESYS solution

The ITS enhances traffic safety and efficiency along the Buzău–Focșani corridor, integrating real-time vehicle monitoring, weather-adaptive controls, Automatic Incident Detection, CCTV surveillance, variable message signs and Weigh-In-Motion for freight. IESYS delivered a modular, scalable solution enabling centralized SCADA control and adaptive traffic management.
