Educational requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Control systems or related field
- Preferred certifications:
- ANRE for LV
Technical skills
- Electrical schematics and circuit design for control cabinets
- Power system design (low voltage)
- Control panel and PLC system design
- Wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and load calculations
Software Tools
- EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical
Soft skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail in design and documentation.
- Team collaboration — working with mechanical, civil, and project engineers.
- Communication skills — writing reports, creating documentation, presenting designs.
- Time management and ability to handle multiple projects.
Experience requirements (typical)
- Mid-Level: 3–7 years in electrical systems design
Typical responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems, components and products.
- Create detailed electrical drawings, layouts and specifications.
- Perform load calculations and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
- Select materials and components.
- Test and validate prototypes or systems.
- Support manufacturing, commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Maintain documentation and revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
