Our beginning

IESYS began with a clear vision: to transform a passion for technology into high-performance software and automation solutions, at a time when digital innovation was just gaining momentum in Romania.

IESYS designs and integrates complex engineering systems where multiple technologies need to operate as one reliable solution. The engineering challenge is rarely the individual technologies. It is making automation, electrical systems, software and third-party platforms work together reliably under real operating conditions. Those integration decisions influence commissioning, day-to-day operation, future maintenance and the ability to expand the system over time.

Whether we are delivering a new system or modernizing existing infrastructure, our role is to reduce technical complexity, manage integration risk and engineer systems that remain reliable throughout their operational life.

Our experience includes airport infrastructure,  traffic management & ITS, logistics, automotive, food and beverage, energy and other sectors operating critical processes.

Although each industry has its own operational and regulatory requirements, many of the engineering challenges are the same. Systems need to communicate reliably, different technologies need to integrate correctly and the overall solution has to perform consistently in day-to-day operation.

Many of our projects require integrating new technologies with existing infrastructure and third-party systems, where maintaining operational continuity is essential. Experience gained across different industries helps us anticipate integration challenges earlier, reduce commissioning risks and deliver systems that become operational with confidence from day one.

While many system integrators focus on connecting equipment, we focus on how the entire system will operate once every technology has been installed, integrated and commissioned.

In complex infrastructure projects, the real challenge is not the equipment itself, but getting different technologies to work together as one system.

Every project starts with understanding the customer’s operational objectives, existing infrastructure and long-term plans. The engineering solution is then developed around those requirements rather than adapting the project to a predefined technical solution.

At IESYS, a turnkey engineering project means taking responsibility for the complete engineering process, from the initial concept through commissioning and post-delivery support. Rather than treating engineering, software, electrical design, installation and commissioning as separate activities, we manage them as one coordinated process.

Depending on project requirements, our scope may include requirements analysis, system architecture, engineering design, electrical engineering, software development, system integration, installation, testing, commissioning, operator training and technical support.

Managing the project as a single engineering process means every project phase builds on the decisions made in the previous one, rather than being treated as independent activities.

Yes, where required by the project. The level of post-delivery support depends on how the system will be operated, maintained and developed over time.

Depending on the project, IESYS may provide warranty services, technical support, preventive and corrective maintenance, operator training, software updates, system optimization and modernization of existing installations. Support may be included as part of the original project or provided through dedicated service agreements.  Commissioning is not always the end of a project because operational requirements, regulations and technologies change over time. This is why many customers continue to rely on engineering support when systems need to be expanded, upgraded or adapted to new operational requirements.

Yes. Depending on the project scope, IESYS can support every stage of the engineering process, from feasibility studies and technical requirements through engineering design, implementation, system integration, testing and commissioning.

Many of the decisions that affect installation and commissioning are made long before equipment is delivered. Early engineering involvement allows those decisions to be made, reviewed and confirmed before implementation begins, when changes are still easier and less costly to introduce.

Some customers engage IESYS for complete turnkey delivery, while others require support for specific engineering phases or specialist integration activities. The scope of our involvement is defined according to the technical requirements of each project.

The best time to involve a system integrator is before the major engineering decisions have been finalized. By the time equipment arrives on site, the system architecture, interfaces and integration strategy have usually already been defined. At that stage, changing one engineering decision often means revisiting several others.

In practice, projects rarely follow the ideal sequence. IESYS is frequently engaged after engineering has started or when implementation is already underway. Our role then shifts from influencing design decisions to integrating technologies from different suppliers into one operational system.

Whether we join the project during design or implementation, the engineering objective remains the same: ensuring that the complete system performs as intended.

Turnkey engineering planning reduces project risk because it deals with the most important engineering decisions before implementation begins. At that stage, system architecture, interfaces and responsibilities can still be discussed, challenged and adjusted without affecting work already completed.

Once equipment is on site, even relatively small engineering changes can affect multiple systems, suppliers and project activities. That is why planning has such a significant impact on how smoothly implementation and commissioning progress.

At IESYS, we prefer to become involved as early as possible. At the same time, we regularly join projects that are already underway, helping customers coordinate existing engineering decisions, integrate technologies from different suppliers and prepare the system for commissioning. The scope of our involvement depends on the technical requirements and complexity of each project.
